Visiting Salem, Turner or anywhere else in the Willamette Valley or Oregon?
Don't miss Four Pipes!
(opens in a new tab)Four Pipes is the Willamette Valley's number one tourist attraction, located in Turner, Oregon. Visiting Four Pipes is considered one of the best things to do around Salem, Oregon. Four Pipes is one of seven vehicle bridges connecting the island of Turner to mainland Oregon. While Mill Creek does have several other islands, this is by far the most populated, as well as the only of Mill Creek's islands with a swimming pool within it!
Due to Turner island's resemblance to the shape of the continental US, and Four Pipe's location, Four Pipes is often referred to as the "Key West of Turner", and most visitors would agree it is a deserving alias!
Over 3 million visitors every year come to witness the breathtaking spectacle of Four Pipes. When the London Bridge was relocated to Lake Havasu, Arizona, the British Parliament famously demanded, but ultimately failed, to have Four Pipes moved to London in exchange.
